Floor Sawing

A floor saw is a heavy duty machine designed for making straight, deep cuts in horizontal surfaces like concrete floors, pavements, roadways and slabs. Cuts to a depth of 550mm. These saws are commonly used in construction, roadwork, and demolition projects where precise and deep cuts are necessary.

Diamond blades

Incredibly durable and highly efficient, this powerful tool is expertly engineered to effortlessly cut through concrete, asphalt, and a diverse array of other exceptionally hard materials, ensuring precision and reliability in every application.

Power Source

Diesel engine – these provide the power needed for heavy duty cutting, particularly in outdoor or large scale projects.  They offer high horsepower and are suitable for cutting through thick slabs.

Electric

Suitable for indoors use or areas with a strict noise or emission regulations. They are quieter and do not produce exhaust fumes but require access to an electric source. (Concrete Cut n Core are able to supply a generator)

Manageability

Floor saws are walk-behind machines, meaning the operator stands behind the saw and guides it over the cutting line. They are designed for ease or control and precision.

This method of sawing is typically put into action where large areas of concrete slab or asphalt need to be removed or separated. Using large, extremely powerful diesel/petrol engine or 3 phase electric motor saws, floor sawing can cut through even the hardest material quickly and to any depth required. Driven rather than simply pushed along, these saws also provide steady cutting rates, thus reducing blade wear and costs and allow an operative to work for longer without becoming fatigued.
